4 Tips To Refresh Your Signature Program | Coaching Program Revamp

If you're anything like me, Coach, you care deeply about your clients & students getting life altering results while working with you.

Whether you’re using your Signature Program content in a 1:1 coaching package, online course, group coaching experience, digital product, or heck, even a freebie...

Part of why we do what we do is to support people in living into their fullest capabilities.

That's why every year I go through each of my signature coaching programs to make sure the content is:

  • simple
  • relevant
  • enjoyable to consume
  • easy to implement

Because let's face it... the statistics around people purchasing courses and not completing them is tough to swallow.

In saying that, I'm extremely proud to say that the students in my courses follow through and either complete or get very close to completing my online courses.

And I've found out WHY that is!

But first, take a quick look at the progress of some of my new Signature Program That Sells students.

The number to the right is the amount of times the student has logged in, and the progress bar lets me know how far along they are.

BTW this is one of Kajabi's many features that's supports me in being the best coach and business owner I can be.

This gives me an idea of if and/or where students are getting stuck or need additional support... AND it also tells me where I can simplify content or create better opportunities for quick wins!

And Friend, I've learned that the more your clients & students can experience wins throughout your online course or coaching program, the more motivated they'll be to complete the modules & lessons.

In saying that, here are 4 tips for you to consider as you revamp your signature program to increase the completion rate...

Coaching Program Tip #1- Bite Sized Content

This is one of the main contributing factors to my clients & students completing modules and seeing success.

A confused and/or overwhelmed mind shuts down, Friend.

One of our jobs is to make the content fluff free, simple, and easy to understand and implement.

To be sure your clients stay engaged and motivated, break down your content into manageable, bite-sized pieces.

To give you an idea, Module 1 of my program Signature Program That Sells has 6 lessons and each lesson is under 7 minutes

The first version of this signature program had one long lesson in module 1. The video was a little under an hour and I noticed in the progress tracker that my clients weren’t completing the module… and this is a really important module… like they can’t move forward without it!

So, I asked clients for their thoughts, and two pieces of feedback really stuck out.

  1. The long video seemed overwhelming and was creating brain fatigue
  2. They were having trouble revisiting and/or finding specific topics within the video because it was so long.

With that feedback I started thinking about how I could simplify the module, and that’s when I decided to chunk down the content, and make short lessons that walked them through completing one very niched topic and assignment at a time

Talk about quick wins!

That Module completion rate went through the roof, and clients were completing faster than ever before.

In saying that, if you're able to niche down your lesson topics to make your content easier to find and digest, you'll start seeing better results and a higher completion rate.

Coaching Program Tip #2- Provide A LOT Examples & Tutorials

Concrete examples and practical tutorials are invaluable in helping clients understand and implement what your program is teaching.

This can look like sharing screenshots of examples as you’re talking about a specific topic, or recording your screen to walk your clients through a step by step.

Rather than relying solely on written information or telling them what to do, provide your clients with relevant tutorials and relatable examples.

I’ve found that this not only instills confidence and comprehension… It also ensures that clients can translate what you're teaching into actionable steps through their own implementation process.

So, take a look at your content and see where you could add a quick tutorial or screenshots of examples to hold interest and create more wins!

Coaching Program Tip #3- Switch Up Viewing Experience

There are all different types of learners, Coach.

So being able to meet your audience's needs and keeping things fresh is helpful.

Variety is key when it comes to maintaining engagement throughout a coaching program.

Here are some of the ways my clients experience me in my coaching programs...

Talking head video - this is me, on camera, sharing valuable content. It's a bit more casual and relaxed.

Slides with voiceover- this supports students in seeing and following along with the content.

Tutorials- I'll share a screen recording showing my clients how to do something (as opposed to just telling them).

Examples - I share actual screenshots of how my clients or I implemented whichever topic they’re learning about.

By offering a variety of viewing experiences, you cater to a broader audience, help combat mental fatigue, and increase the likelihood that your clients will find your coaching program enjoyable and effective… which then leads to completing the content and getting the results they originally came for!

So, take a look at your content and see if there's anywhere you could switch up the viewing experience to hold interest and keep things fresh!

Coaching Program Tip #4- Usable Implementation Materials

A coaching program is only effective if clients can easily integrate the lessons into their daily lives.

Focus on creating materials that are not only usable, but also highly relevant to the niched content that will support your clients in moving the needle forward.

This means that you’ll provide practical, actionable steps that clients can easily and immediately implement.

Whether it's prompts, done-for-you templates, calendars, or spreadsheets, or maybe fillable charts or tables… make sure whichever implementation exercises you choose are relevant to exactly what they need (no fluff), and align with the intended results of your signature program.

And while we’re talking about implementation, I wanted to share a little secret strategy I use. One that my clients and I have never seen in another coaching program that gets rave reviews.

Something else I do in my courses which has helped with the completion rate is to direct my students to their implementation guides within the actual training video.

So, throughout each of my module lessons I have moments where I instruct the students to pause the video and complete a specific section of the implementation guide in that moment before moving forward.

I can't even begin to tell you the amount of great feedback I've received on this!

It invites a sense of clarity and relief, supports my clients & students in chunking down their assignments and completing tasks little by little, and it creates confidence

So, as you revamp your coaching program, take a look to see if you're able to support your clients in pausing and completing implementation aspects incrementally.

It’s one of those simple things that can make a world of difference!

Now, Coach, there really is an art in developing a simple, clear, and life changing coaching program. One that clients & students can't wait to purchase and complete!
