Create Coaching Packages That Sell | Life Coach Training

Today’s blog is all about helping you create coaching packages that sell.


One of the BEST ways to increase your influence, impact and income is by creating high value coaching packages that your soulmate clients can’t wait to buy into.


There’s a long list of benefits to creating packages in your coaching business.

  1. They allow you to offer a range of price points, meaning you can charge more for a package that is offering more value.
  2. They allow you to really hone in on your ideal client and get clear on just how you’re going to help them.
  3. They let you step away from the hourly pricing mindset.  
  4. And so much more!


Creating coaching packages is the best way to support your clients in getting their desired results.


In order to do so, we use what are called “Result Tools,” and I’m going to walk you through each of these tools throughout this blog so you can build a highly valuable coaching package.


Your job is going to be to fill in all the details of what’s included in each "result tool", and price them appropriately.


***Again, you’re not getting paid per hour. You’re getting paid for the expertise and systems that took you years to obtain. If your system took you 7 years of experience and coaching to create, and it takes you 4 months to walk someone else through it, I’d say that’s VERY valuable!


Before we get into it, I want to make sure you have the two things every coach needs figured out.

  1. First is a lifestyle plan. Be sure to develop coaching packages fit into your ideal lifestyle.
  2. Second is your signature program. Oftentimes coaches use the steps within their signature program in their coaching package.

Okay, let’s get to the juicy stuff. Here are the 7 essential elements of building out your high ticket coaching packages. These are the tools you’ll use to get your clients results.


Coaching Package Essential #1: Duration 

First things first, determine how much of a time commitment you’re asking coaching clients to make when they purchase your package.


  • Can your content be delivered, processed and implemented in a matter of days?
  • Does offering a 6-week program feel like a good fit?
  • Or maybe you know it will take 6-months or even a year to get your clients the results you’re promising.


Always keep in mind the end result you’re helping them achieve, and pick a duration that feels in alignment with your lifestyle goals and also that final outcome.

Coaching Package Essential #2: Coaching Hours 

How much time are you physically going to have to be present in this package? Situations that call for you to be present are live:

  • Group coaching calls
  • 1:1 coaching
  • Interactive Q&A calls 
  • Masterclasses
  • Masterminds
  • Chat Forum Support (example: Voxer, Telegram)

The more time you physically spend with your clients, holding space for them and sharing your energy and expertise, the more value you’re adding to your coaching package... AND the more you can charge for it.


Coaching Package Essential #3: Directives 

Directives refer to the system or step by step you tell your client they need to KNOW or DO in order to get results.


A big goal to adopt in your coaching business is to personalize every aspect of your brand so that people know it’s YOUR system. Give a trademark name to your tips, tools, strategies, and techniques because these are your directives.


Let’s take the title “5 Steps to Making Bank with Blogging,” as an example. When someone hears that they know they’re going to learn how to start a successful blog that’s going to end up making them money.


Coaching Package Essential #4: Implementation Materials 

Implementation materials are meant to support your clients in taking action when you’re not physically there. And there are a lot of options!


You can create:

  • Workbooks
  • Printable PDFs
  • Downloadable templates
  • Outlines for scripts
  • Swipe files
  • Google Drive templates
  • And the list goes on.


Anything that's helped YOU accomplish whatever it is you’re helping a client accomplish, can usually be transformed into some sort of implementation material. 


Remember, you’re not just sharing information, you’re helping clients to get results. So, be sure to create something that will help them implement!



Coaching Package Essential #5: Bonuses

Bonuses are great to have when you’re in launch mode!


Bonuses are free gifts from you, that your clients receive when they purchase one of your coaching packages. They can be:

  • Audio trainings
  • Videos
  • E-Books
  • Access to previously run programs
  • Recorded coaching calls
  • And more!

It’s not only a way to make them feel extra special, but it’s even more support in helping them reach their final goal.


Coaching Package Essential #6: Resources 

Having a library of resources for your clients to access whenever they need some extra support will help hold them capable to answering their own questions via content that you’ve already created.

These can include:

  • Tutorials
  • Book lists
  • Recorded audios
  • Video clips from seminars, workshops or retreats
  • Masterclasses
  • Private Blog posts
  • Podcasts
  • YouTube Videos


Put these resources somewhere where they’re organized and easy to access, like on your website, on their coaching portal, or in a shared Google Drive folder.


Coaching Package Essential #7: Additional Time With You 

Sharing time with your clients is the most valuable thing you can do.


Some of the ways you can show up in-person for your peeps are:

  • On a Facebook LIVE
  • Via email support
  • On a chat forum like Telegram
  • In an online forum
  • Exclusive Zoom calls


Remember, there’s nothing more valuable than your time, so if you’re offering this in your package, be sure to set your prices accordingly.
